Minya sulfate-resistant cement is designed to improve the durability of concrete and reduce the risk of structural deterioration in sulfate-saturated environments, such as foundations, drainage works and sewage treatment lines, as well as industrial and agricultural uses.
- Relatively delayed initial setting time, which extends the time limit needed for the transportation, pumping, compacting and leveling processes of both of the ready mix and site mixed concretes.
- The possibility of concrete plastic shrinking and cracking is reduced due to the reduced C₃A content, which consequently reduces the release of heat of hydration. This in turn participates in the enhancing of the overall concrete water impermeability.
